GE THANKS 22 EMPLOYEES FOR A DIFFERENT JOB WELL DONE.(Local)

General Electric Co. spotlighted 22 of its workers Saturday who served in the Persian Gulf war.

The celebration will continue with a homecoming parade at 2 p.m. today

to honor Schenectady residents who served in the war.

"We're proud of our servicemen and women for the job they did and for the hardships they endured," said Maj. Paul T. Stanley, a GE employee.

"To be a member of a reserve or National Guard unit usually means burning the candle at both ends and sometimes in the middle when you try to balance your job, your family obligations, and your reserve commitments at the same time," Stanley …
